UIC Barcelona, the first Spanish university to obtain international accreditation from the American Dental Association
UIC Barcelona is the first national university accredited by the American Dental Association’s Continuing Education Provider Recognition Program (ADA CERP)
This programme provides dental regulatory agencies with a sound basis for uniform acceptance of continuing education (CE) credits required for the maintenance of dental licensure, while approving organisations and institutions offering this education.
Thanks to this recognition, all dental professionals who practice in the United States and in any other country that may require it, will be able to take one of the continuing education courses offered by the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Dentistry, and the courses will serve to renew their dental license.
The ADA Commission for the Continuing Education Provider Recognition is responsible for carrying out the process of evaluation and recognition of institutions and entities that offer dental education and that must meet the demanding criteria of quality, transparency, scientific content of the programmes, duration and practices, as well as strategic course planning.
“Having this prestigious accreditation is a recognition not only of the high quality of training we offer, but also of our commitment to the profession both nationally and internationally,” Dr Lluís Giner, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry explained.
The American Dental Association (ADA) is an American professional association founded in 1859 with more than 161,000 members. It is the largest and oldest national dental association in the world and promotes good oral health to the public and represents dental professionals.
